A Prepaid debit card is a MaterCard or a VIsa card that you put your own cash or money loded on the card. You can add cash or have it directly deposited from your paycheck or benefit check. On some cards you can buy Preloaded cards and transfer the money on to your VISA or Master Card. These prepaid cards allow you to purchase services and items just like you have a real credit card but you have a different set of rules because you are really buying these things with cash. You have to beware of purchasing things at the gas pump, airlines, and hotels. Also you will have to take a good look at fees and service charges that come with you card. There are also some benefits with these cards, like bill pay, discount cards, reward programs, cash back and some even offer small loans. These cards are not for everybody just people that have credit problems or just cannot open a bank account. There are Hundreds of Prepaid Debit Cards that you can find at a Retail store, like WalMart, CVS, Kroger's, Tom Thumb, Walgreen's, Gas Stations and lots online.
